Do You Make These Mistakes When Choosing A Page Builder For Your Marketing Funnels?
There are loads of page builders available to affiliate marketers. Some of the more well known include Convertri, ClickFunnels, LeadPages, BuilderAll, InstaPage, and Thrive Architect (a WordPress plugin). As some are quite a bit better than others, choosing your page building platform is very important decision. Even once you’ve made a decision and started with a particular platform it can be wise to change providers if you find you aren’t getting the service you expected. It’s better to not throw good money after bad. With that in mind here are three common mistakes marketers make when choosing a page builder platform.
Mistake #1: Page Builders Shouldn’t Replace a Website…Unless It's a Builder for Your WordPress Site
Your website and your marketing funnels perform different functions, and the tools best suited to building each don’t suit the other. Content-rich websites are very difficult to build and maintain using page builders (funnel builders). Your main website includes a lot of sculpted copy, images, sidebar functions and moderated comments. Theses are best managed using a CMS (content management system) like WordPress. Your funnels, on the other hand, are most readily created and managed using a page builder like the ones listed above.
Trying to build both with one tool is a mistake that will cost you money, time and heartache. You’ll end up with either funnels that don’t function well or a main website that’s missing necessary content or provides a clunky user experience. Neither is particularly good for your business.
The one exception is if you build your main web page in WordPress and then use a page builder plugin for WordPress to build your funnels. This leverages the power of WordPress for your website while giving you the proper tools for your funnel construction all in one environment.
Mistake #2: Choosing a Page Builder that Requires Skills You Lack
Not all page builders are as easy to use as they claim. Make certain that you dive deeply into any documentation you can find about the inner functioning of your potential page builder. Make certain that you understand what you’ll be required to do and that you possess the requisite skills to navigate the tool properly. The last thing you want to do is sign on with a page builder that stymies your efforts to build one of the most important elements of your affiliate marketing business.
Mistake #3: Forgetting to Check Your Page Builder’s Load Speeds
This can be quite a damaging mistake if allowed to persist too long. It’s said that 40% of your traffic will leave your site immediately if your funnel takes longer than three seconds to load. Three seconds is all it takes to lose almost half of your precious traffic before those people even get the chance to view your page. Given the efforts, and money you’re putting into acquiring traffic for your pages it’s devastating to throw so much of it away for no good reason. You want to make absolutely certain the page builder you choose has page load speeds under three seconds, and the faster the better. If they don’t, run away as quickly as possible and get yourself a new builder.
Consider Convertri
I’ve talked these guys up in other posts and I’ll suggest them again here. Convertri is, to my mind, the single best page builder available today. Not only do they guarantee fast page loads (and deliver), they have the most user-friendly construction interface I’ve ever used. They don’t put any column or row restrictions on your design and their layout tools allow you to easily move elements around on your page wherever you like. With very little effort you can design beautiful, and most importantly, effective marketing funnels that will convert your traffic at the highest rates possible.
